Final exam dates for Arabic1, Arabic 2, and NEW arabic 3 students


Insha-Allah Final exams will take place on following days


  • Arabic 1, new Arabic 3 and half of Arabic 2 on Jan 15th 2017 at usual class times
  • rest of Arabic 2 on Jan 22nd 2017 at usual class times
  • Arabic 3 students sentence exam will be on Jan 29th

Arabic 3 - sentences only


Each student should make 5 of their own sentences - we did some of it as homework last week (heavy table) but this week use any vocabulary you can use - such as the one shared by Sr Tricia or words from alMadinah book ....

A4HW14 & A5HW14: new teacher coming in!


For the Class Date: 1/15 /2016, Following homework is due on 1/ 22 / 2017

new syllabus for next 6 months will be released in few days.

Class work Summary
  • we worked on mubtada and khabar (working on segments)
  • We completed next set of Quran verses as assigned previous week
  • we reviewed ayat 17-19 with all students
  • Students also wrote the verses in class and we have important observations to share in next class

Homework
  • Arabic 4 and 5 need to write next 2 NEW verses ONLY so we can work on it in the class.  we will spend more time on grammar this week
  • Arabic 4 and 5 must prepare verses  20-22 for review in the class.  
    • Arabic 5 can ONLY listen (review by listening)
    • Arabic 4 can see their notebooks to review these (review by seeing)
  • NEW verses for Arabic 4(123,123)  will be used for "review by seeing" for Arabic 5 
  • We will be writing verses 120 & 121 in the class for writing practice so be mentally prepared
  • we will review some grammar work (sentences and plurals)

Arabic 2 Final Exam on Sunday January 15th & 22nd @ 10 AM

Your final exam will mainly consist of the words from following five suraat and reading rules related to them. also all exercise pages from Green book will be used

  4. Green book - page 70 - Surah Tabbat
  5. Green book - page 71 - Surah Ikhlas

A7HW3: preparing for certification (Day 3)


We worked on all 5 sections for ayaat 30 to 60 on Saturday Jan 14th @ 8 PM phone call - recording is available on the Ijaazah page

then on Sunday Jan 15th we worked on ayaat 61 to 74 for all 5 sections again.  This was in person

Now on Saturday Jan 21st at 8 PM, we will work on ayaat 75 to 111 on the phone - please call 612 615 7130 at 8 PM

A3HW13: final exam on Sunday January 15th @ 11 AM


You are only being tested on your Grammar Rules.  Test will start with Sr Muna at 11 AM insha-Allah

You will still have your other classes as usual - such as Quran Translation and phrases Grammar class.  There might a little shifted schedule for those classes but hopefully I will get a chance to communicate that to you soon

Following are the sentences we covered in the class on the white board.  We worked on segments in the class and made short sentences with them.  we will continue working on it.  Using Sr Tricia's current homework suggestion, translate following sentences (exactly like we did in the class)

There is no new homework as you all worked on words with Hamza in the class and you also had Islamic Glossary homework from the book from previous class

Your exam is about 35 words, few audio words (not part of the grade) and some essay questions about the important concepts!

  • Students also wrote the verses in class and we have important observations to share in next class

  • Arabic 4 and 5 need to write next 2 NEW verses ONLY so we can work on it in the class.  we will spend more time on grammar this week
  • Arabic 4 and 5 must prepare verses  17-19 for review in the class.

  • We learnt the Rule #10 (about Ta Marbootah) and now only one rule is left to learn
  • We skimmed thru all rules and decided which rules students will be tested against
  • We will also review following suraat coming sunday Jan 8th to test the students

A1HW13: shape shifting letter "ha" and last of the homeworks

Thanks so much for staying extra past weekend so we could catch up on everything.

Past Sunday, we focused on letter ha and learnt its details.  Please look at the related video for this letter if you have any question.  You know where to find the videos.

Also we looked at pages 5, 6 and 7 from the book and Sr Tricia guided that study session.  Please read page 8, 9, 10, 11 and 21.  You know where to find the audios.



For homework, You already know what page(s) to be completed from your work book.  There will be NO audio homework this week
