A4HW1: Grammar sentences and Quran efforts

For the Class Date: 06/04/2023, Following homework is due on 06/11/2023 

Class Participants: Arabic 4 NEW (Yousuf's online class) & Arabic 4 (Naima's online class)

9 am: We worked on the reading rules for all classes at their level
9:30 am: We worked on grammar by making sentences and they were handed over to teacher.  Some of you, during 9:30-10:00am grammar class, finished page 4. Those who didn't will do it next Sunday
10 am: Reading Quran from your heart and knolwing what we are reading
10:30 am: Islamic studies class couldn't take place
10 am: Quran lessons with Br Rumed couldn't take place

Book: Using the "Advanced Grammar" portion of the book

Classwork review
- We worked on new ayaat but have not started on reviewing ayaat yet
- Quran Review ayaat class will start for you soon

- all good but Quran quizzes will start soon
Review ayaat class will start for you soon

Grammar
In next 5 weeks, we have to master following concepts for Arabic sentence structure
  1. How to point to Singular and Plural Nouns
  2. What are the composite concepts for Nouns
  3. How to make sentences using both concepts mentioned above
  4. What is assertive sentence
  5. Impact on Pronouns, Pointing/Reference Nouns, Verbs (subject) and Adjectives

be sure to work on following sentences.  Write them on a piece of paper and be ready to hand them in

  1. this is the book
  2. this is my book
  3. my book is in this house
  4. This book is with me
  5. That house is for this boy (walad)
  6. This flower is from that city (madeenah)

Today during Quran class 10:30-11:30am, we reviewed verses 94-100 then completed new verse 125.

May 27th
Today during 10:45-11:30am Quran class, we reviewed verses 122 & 123. We also learned new verse 124. Please write your next few verses to stay ahead In’Sha’Allah

March & Ramadan 2023

April 9th
During 12:30-1pm, we did new verses 121 until the end of 123.

April 2nd
During today’s 1-1:30pm class, we practiced past tense verbs and began present tense on page 11. Your homework is to do past tense for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person in singular, dual, and plural form using circles words (see image). Homework is always due Friday at 5pm. We’ll continue with present tense next week…  In’Sha’Allah.

March 26th
we covered all of verse 120 and categories 1&2 for verse 121. In’Sha’Allah next week, we’ll do category 3 for verse 121 before moving on to the following verses.

March 19th
During 10:30am, we covered new verses 118 & 119. In’Sha’Allah we’ll do 120 next week. Ramadan Mubarak!

March 12th
Covered new verses 116 & 117 with Br. Abdulaziz. In’Sha’Allah we’ll do 118 next time.

March 5th
I still need to write down 109-113. We decided I write down those verses then we will need 30 minute early next week to  finish and review

Feb 26th
did new verses 113-114. In’Sha’Allah we’ll continue with 115 next week. Jzk’Allahu Kheyran!

    Alhamdulilah, we completed translation of verses 70 - 72 (with only 2 rounds completed for verse 72). Please prepare the next 3 verses to be completed next week (73 - 75). We will also need to do the eloquent translation for verse 72.

    We continued to review the possessive case or genitive (Mudaaf Mudaaf Ilaih) - page 24 and did the homework sentences from the previous week.

    Homework: Come up with 10 sentences in Arabic and translate English that has both Mudaaf Mudaaf Ilaih and Adjectives (Sifah Mausoof). Each sentence should have both the concepts included.

    For new vocabulary, refer to Page 22, 23, 24 and 25.
