Our goal - finish and review Juz 1 (Surah Baqarah) as much as possible before Ramadan (Mid March 2023).  

Surah Faatihah as well, Surah Mulk and possibly Surah Kahf

Darwrah 1 - Means this is word to word writing in the notebook and going through the categories and translation for the new aayah.

Dawrah 2&3 - Means going through the Arabic phrases for both Arabic 5 and 6 as well as Grammar concepts!

Dawrah 4 - Means can only look at Arabic text from Quran for Arabic 5 and for Arabic 6

Dawrah 5 - cannot look at Arabic text. Listen and translate

During 12:30-1pm, we did new verses 121 until the end of 123.

April 2nd

During today’s 1-1:30pm class, we practiced past tense verbs and began present tense on page 11. Your homework is to do past tense for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person in singular, dual, and plural form using circles words (see image). Homework is always due Friday at 5pm. We’ll continue with present tense next week…  In’Sha’Allah.

March 26th

we covered all of verse 120 and categories 1&2 for verse 121. In’Sha’Allah next week, we’ll do category 3 for verse 121 before moving on to the following verses.

March 19th

During 10:30am, we covered new verses 118 & 119. In’Sha’Allah we’ll do 120 next week. Ramadan Mubarak!

Covered new verses 116 & 117 with Br. Abdulaziz. In’Sha’Allah we’ll do 118 next time.

Starting Arabic 3: Important resources

We will learn the list of stoppers and start reading Surah Baqarah with teachers using following resources

1. The necessary vocab page.
2. Stopper words (  وَ   فَ  ثُمَّ  قالَ  اَنْ/اَنَّ )

But the main focus of this class to start understand words of God so We will start the grammar, Quran translation and Quran lessons portions of classes as well.  each is about 30 - 40 minutes depending on what stage of the lessons we are at.
