A2New: HW11 Suratu Baqarah

 Class Date: 07/19/2026, Following homework is due on 07/26/2026 

Work we did in the class

We reviewed the homework from the past week.
We practiced Exercises on the reading rules from the green book.


Your homework: 

the first 10 Ayat from Suratu Baqarah, find the reading rules for each word

Flow the same method you’ve been doing for the short Suras from the green book.

Last week we end up not taking the vocabulary Exam, But we will on coming Sunday inshaaAllah 

Make sure to study them well.

A3HW1: Quran translation to start soon ...

For the Class Date: 06/04/2023, Following homework is due on 06/11/2023 

Classwork review
- Naima: Today during 10-10:30am grammar class, we continued with page 17 (ver, subject, and object). We had 2 students today with only 1 participating. 
- Roza: For reading we covered Ayah 121-124 and practiced the vocabulary sheet. 
- Sadaf to start the Quran translation class soon

Quran New Ayaat and Quran Review
Writing homework up to Ayah 49.
- Bring a brand new clean note book so we can start the Quran Translation

Grammar
Page 17 is really important so please all of you try your best to show up to class moving forward. We’ll be repeating page 17 next week In’Sha’Allah

Arabic Reading
- Madinah reading book class will start next week, It will revive the vocabulary page as well
- Quran lessons are completed for this class

May 2023 progress with Grammar and Reading

For the Class Dates in 05/2023, Here are the notes  

Grammar class work

May 27th from Sr Naima
Today during 10-10:30am grammar class, we continued with page 17 (ver, subject, and object). We had 2 students today with only 1 participating.

May 20th from Sr Naima:
Today during 10-10:30am grammar class, we finished page 16. In’Sha’Allah we’ll continue from page 17 next. Please continue reviewing everything we’ve learned so far especially unit 3

May 13th from Sr Naima:
Today during 10-10:30am grammar, we finished pages 14-15 Alhamdulillah. We’ll continue practicing verbs on pages 16-17 next week In’Sha’Allah. Jzk’Allahu Kheyran for showing up, participating, turning in your quizzes, and doing amazing job! 

from Sr Roza:
For reading we covered Aya 121-124 and practiced the vocabulary sheet. Writing homework up to Aya 49.

May 6th from Sr Naima:
10-10:30am - For grammar, we finished page 13. Student(s) asked for a test as practice and mind refresher. Here you go. As usual, it’s due Friday at 5pm. Just think of it a homework that’s graded

from Sr Roza:
For reading class. We went through Aya 113-120, reviewed the vocabulary sheet. I assigned writing up to Aya 46

April 30th (first day after Ramadan & Eid break) from Sr Naima
10am-10:30 - for grammar, we finished the first 4 verses of page 13. In’Sha’Allah we’ll continue next week

March and Ramadan (April) 2023

We practiced reading and writing words from Surah Baqarah verses 1 to 49

we also worked on the vocabulary page with sr Roza and Sr Rand so it is well under control for us

April 9th
Today we read Aya 111-113 and identified phrases.

April 2nd


March 19th
For reading we covered Aya 108-110 today.

Feb 26th
We covered Aya 94-98. In class writing practice and vocabulary practice. Writing homework up to Aya 34.


Grammar with Sr Naima

April 9th
During 1-1:30pm class, we finished present tense on page 11 and practiced on same forms. In’Sha’Allah we’ll continue with practice that’s on page 13 once we resume classes after Ramadan. May we all benefit the most from this blessed month. Jzk’Allahu Kheyran for your patience!

April 2nd
During today’s 1-1:30pm class, we practiced past tense verbs and began present tense on page 11. Your homework is to do past tense for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person in singular, dual, and plural form using circles words (see image). Homework is always due Friday at 5pm. We’ll continue with present tense next week…  In’Sha’Allah.


March 19th
For grammar, we continued covering Past Tense for 2nd and 3rd person on page 11. We’ll continue practicing past tense next week before moving on to presentment tense In’Sha’Allah

March 12th
Alhamdulillah today we covered small part of unit 3 on page 11; first person for past tense. Your homework is to complete the remaining in this table which we already covered in class. Due date is always 5pm Friday … In’Sha’Allah

Feb 26th
Today, we finished exercise #3 on page 9 and all of page 10. Remember, I’m traveling, therefore, another teacher will be with you next week. We’ll continue with unit 3 upon my return in 2 weeks In’Sha’Allah. Your homework is below. Please turn in by 5pm on Friday as usual directly to me via WhatsApp In’Sha’Allah.

A3HW19

Assalam-u-Alaikum Dear Arabic 3 Students

For this class date:  05/03 /2020, Following homework is due on 05/ 10/2020 (or after exam)

Our goal - Finish and review first 20 verses of Juz 1 before Ramadan (late April 2020)


Quran Reading & Translation:  (by Sr Hindi)
Alhamdulilah, we completed translation of verses 19- 20. Please prepare the next 2 verses to be completed next week (21 - 22).


Grammar:  (by Br Yousuf)

We reviewed all the quizzes in the class to prepare for the exam on May 10th. 

The final exam is scheduled for May 10th and the exam will focus on Units 1 to 6. Unit 3 (verbs) chart will be available for students to use.
Students will need to memorize Units 1, 2, 5 and 6 vocabulary words and need to know the rules from Unit 1, 4 to use.

The exam is a written one and the students will be given a day or two to complete. The exam is a closed book exam with students only allowed access to the verb chart. 

Please write the answers on sheets of paper and upload it to classroom.google.com

Insha Allah the exam for Arabic 3 is planned for 10th May 2020.

We worked on the Verbs worksheet that is on the last page of the Grammar books.

HOMEWORK: Identify and write at least 15 different verb forms (out of 18 that we learned) from Quran. Please write the arabic word, what verb form it is, and the english translation (along with the built in subject). You can look at the english translations to get the meaning of the verbs.

A3HW17

Assalam-u-Alaikum Dear Arabic 3 Students

Alhamdulillah, we completed all rounds for verse 16 and categories for verse 17. We will do word to word and eloquent for 17 and all three rounds for 18.

We looked at the first 20 verses of Surah Baqarah and identified Verbs (along with the built in Subject) in them.

There will be another QUIZ coming week on Unit 3 - Verbs. Please prepare.

We worked on page 24 in the book and ensured all students participate in the grammar and reading portion. 

Students were asked to read page 24 again on their own and use this page to prepare page 25 for next week.  Answers for most questions on page 25 are already covered in page 24!

Alhamdulilah we completed verses 21-23 but managed to do only half of verse 23, making segments and reviewing the reading rules. 

InshAllah, we will start from verse 23 next time.

A3HW14 Present/Future Tense Verbs

Alhamdulilah, we completed categories and word to word translation of verse 13. Please prepare the next 2 verses to be completed next week (14 and 15). We will also do eloquent for verse 13.

We reviewed the Subject and Object in the Verb (page 12) and the role of attached pronouns connected to a noun and verb (page 15).

There will be a QUIZ coming week on Unit 1 - Prepositions and Unit 2 - Pronouns. Please prepare.

A3HW13: Present/Future tense Verbs

Our goal - Finish and review first 24 verses of Juz 1 before Ramadan (late April 2020)

Alhamdulilah, we completed translation of verse 11 and 12 (with all 3 rounds). Please prepare the next 2 verses to be completed next week (13 - 14).  

Grammar:  (by Br. Yousuf)
1. We completed the past tense verb chart for (تَرَكَ) that was present in the "Muslim" (مُسْلِمٌ) worksheet.

2. We reviewed Present/Future tense of Verbs. We went through all 9 forms of Present/Future tense.

HOMEWORK:

1. Please complete last week's worksheet using the standalone Noun "Muslim" (مُسْلِمٌ)

2. Please use Page 12 to write all the present tense forms for the verb (تَرَكَ) - [to leave]. Write both the arabic and english meanings for the present tense forms.

Please take a picture for both the homeworks and whats app me.

Last Sunday 3/22/2020  we red pages 20 - 21 we focused on how to find out and read 
Laam Shamsiya and Laam Qamariya, we also explained that the noun should have a kassra 
at the end of it if it proceeded by a proposition, and you have done a great job. 

 For up coming Sunday 3/29/2020 
1. Together we will continue reading page 22 and  
     answer the  questions   3-11
2. We will put harakat at each word we read.
3. while we read we will review laam qamariya and shamsiya.
