A2HW13: (May Focus) stoppers, next surah and identifying punctuation (using small letters) in Quranic text

    Starting the new Arabic 2 class (spring 2025)

    Assalam u Alaikum and welcome all of you

    Help yourself in reading Quran - Green Book - PDF to download so you can print it or just wait for physical book to be handed over in the class.  Most rules are covered from this book

      1. regular version, being used for 15+ years. 
      2. smaller pocket size version
      3. please remember these are reading rules. some of them are part of recitation rules (tajweed) too but for now our focus is reading words, not reciting
         
    1. White book, needed for couple of rules as well as practice on many words
    2. 10 Reading Rules we will focus on learning. | More details [Details of the reading rules]
    3. Syllabus
    4. Vocabulary List of the words you must memorize before graduating to Arabic 3
    5. Starting on first chapters of Madinah Book - PDF coming soon
    6. Needed resources such as video list or audio files

    Arabic 2 Final exam information for May 18th 2025 (May Focus)

    Date: Sunday April 18th @ 8 or 9 am - finishing at 11 am (in-person)

    1. There is no written exam.  It is all oral exam. 
    2. Be sure to review this youTube video so you are aware of what is the style of the exam inshaaAllah

    •  Be sure to have your green book with you.  
      • You will asked to read individual words and explain the reading rules applied in that word.
    • All Suraat from Green book (page 64 onwards).  
      • We will have you read 3 of these 8 suraat.  
      • You will be asked to read one word at a time
    • All exercise pages after page 25 in Green Book.
      • Pages 29, 31, 36-37, 42-44, 48-49, 52, 54, 57, 60 and 63.
      • You can also try the audio files of above pages if it helps
    • 2 mistakes are allowed.  3rd time, students should say the words correctly or lose a point
    • Vocabulary: Each student will be asked 10 questions using the words in the Vocabulary sheet (left column only)

    A3HW5: starting on basic form of verb - both ways

    A3HW4: Basic form of verbs

    For the Class Date: 04/06/2025, Following homework is due on 04/13/2025

    No new homework was assigned for past month or so.  Students practiced making sentences in the class and get comfortable with vocabulary page (using the words from unit 2 and 5 and 6).

    All these noun words are called FIXED nouns (Unit 2, 5 and 6).  they cannot be modified and must be remembered as they are

    Teacher had started on Unit 2 before Ramadan break so she reviewed unit 3 and started the exercise on page 13. 


    Your homework due Friday at 5pm is to fill both tables below using words:
