welcome to your Arabic 1 class. inshaaAllah you are all settled now.  every Sunday, your class starts at the same zoom link and same zoom room.  

We are not always able to record but here is the recording for your 9 am class so you can catch up as needed

Coming Sunday, there will be no class due to Eid Holiday but we will see you on Sunday July 17th at your class time inshaaAllah!

Final exam for Arabic 2

 Sunday July 24th @ 8 am (using zoom as needed otherwise phone line)

Students will be tested individually or in groups of 2

• Only the exercise pages after page 25 in Green Book will be used for exam.  Pages 29, 31, 36-37, 42-44, 48-49, 52, 54, 57, 60 and 63.
• In case you do not have it, Here is a Green book PDF. You should use your own copy of the book since it was distributed to you.  otherwise PDF can be used as well. Be sure to have one of them with you.  You will asked to read individual words from exercise page and explain the reading rules applied in that word.
• All Suraat from Green book (page 64 onwards).  We will have you read 3 of these 8 suraat.  You will be asked to read one word at a time
• 2 mistakes are allowed.  3rd time, students should say the words correctly or lose a point

• Vocabulary: Each student will be asked 10 questions (words) on using the Vocabulary sheet.
• There is no written exam.  It is all oral exam

• Here is a sample video of the exam.  Remember this exam is about words, not about who lines and phrases

Arabic 1: Sunday June 26th @ 9 am - finishing at teacher's appointed deadline (using zoom as needed)

I could not keep up with homework listing since Ramadan but teacher did a great job of posting weekly homework on Google classroom

For Final exam

• You will be asked to write about 35 words (just like you do for your homework every week)
• You will be asked to answer some essay questions (short answers, few fill in the blanks kind of questions)
• Spell few words (on Sunday July 24th) - this will help us prepare for Arabic 2 class
