Sister Tricia Kustrich -

Sister Tricia gave lesson on negating the past tense verb.

We started with ما and Sister Tricia went over examples of this -

Examples:

  • I left the pens in the school
    • I didn’t leave the pens in the school

Then we went through using لم which is the same as using ما
After that we went through using لا which is used for negating the present.

Examples:

  • I do not leave the pens in the school.
  • They did not open the door for us.

لم - always comes with present tense
ما - always comes with past tense

  • They are not opening the door for us

Sister Tricia reviewed past grammar lessons in which we did wrong on the tests -

Examples:

  • The two male teachers went to the long meetings
