A3HW13: final exam on Sunday January 15th @ 11 AM

You are only being tested on your Grammar Rules.  Test will start with Sr Muna at 11 AM insha-Allah

You will still have your other classes as usual - such as Quran Translation and phrases Grammar class.  There might a little shifted schedule for those classes but hopefully I will get a chance to communicate that to you soon

Following are the sentences we covered in the class on the white board.  We worked on segments in the class and made short sentences with them.  we will continue working on it.  Using Sr Tricia's current homework suggestion, translate following sentences (exactly like we did in the class)

Arabic 1 Final Exam on Sunday January 15th @ 12 PM

There is no new homework as you all worked on words with Hamza in the class and you also had Islamic Glossary homework from the book from previous class

Your exam is about 35 words, few audio words (not part of the grade) and some essay questions about the important concepts!

A7HW2: preparing for certification (Day 2)

We need to finish the whole Juz 1 for our certification exam at the end of January 2017.  So prepare Ayat 30 - 60 in the light of 5 testing criteria listed on Ijaazah Page

A4HW12 & A5HW12: combined plan and next verses

Class work Summary

• we worked on mubtada and khabar and discussed it again, in line with our first lesson from new grammar section of the book "mubtada and khabr" 
• We completed next set of Quran verses as assigned previous week
• we reviewed ayat 12-16 with all students
• Students also wrote the verses in class and we have important observations to share in next class

Homework

• Arabic 4 and 5 need to write next 2 NEW verses ONLY so we can work on it in the class.  we will spend more time on grammar this week
• Arabic 4 and 5 must prepare verses  17-19 for review in the class.  
• Arabic 5 can ONLY listen (review by listening)
• Arabic 4 can see their notebooks to review these (review by seeing)
• NEW verses for Arabic 4(118,119)  will be used for "review by seeing" for Arabic 5 
• Be ready to discuss this homework for Sr Tricia's class, we will go in some detail about it and jump into story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS)
• We will be writing verses 118 & 119 in the class for writing practice so be mentally prepared

1. Please write next 2 verses only for the Quran.  we will spend more time on grammar lesson coming Sunday (command verbs and adjectives)
2. We will review Sr Tricia's homework with Br Mashood and Sr Sadaf.  following sentences are part of that lesson.  Translate following sentences in English and be ready to discuss them
