Ramadan 2016 Suggestions

1. Every Sunday at the masjid we will offer:
     a. Quran reading help at 1:30 PM
     b. Followed by Aqeedah class at 2:15PM

2. Every night during Ramadan, Br Nouman Ali Khan will present tafseer of Quran.
    The first lecture will start on Sunday, Jun 5, 2016 at 11:00 PM

A5HW18: Please attempt following sentences

For this Class Date:  05/22/2016, Following homework is due on 06/05/2016
Arabic 5 Students (Miraaj, Irene, Moxobo, Rahma, Faadumo,  ...)
Our goal - finish and review Juz 1 before we jump into learning Juz 2

We will review our set of ayaat to complete Juz 1 so we are really ready for First Taraweeh prayer insha-Allah

we will resume our work on negation of verbs as well as "Laysa" and "Kaana"

for sentences, we will work on 7 new sentences to be introduced in the class.  Please make sure you have reviewed the sentences from past 3 homeworks (HW 16 and 17).  No new sentences being give to you at this point

A4HW18: All tenses of the verbs

For this Class Date:  05/22/2016, Following homework is due on 06/05/2016
Arabic 4 NEW Students (Fayzal, Zan, Rumed, Jibril, Fadumu, Alpha ...)

Our goal - finish and review first 100 verse of Juz 1

Very close to our goal of 100 ayaat, let us bring it as close as possible insha-Allah

for sentences, we will continue on "Kaana" and then work on 7 new sentences to be introduced in the class.  Please make sure you have reviewed the sentences from past two homework (HW 16 and 17)

A3HW18: Write next set of verses and Make more sentences

For this Class Date:  05/22/2016, Following homework is due on 06/05/2016

Arabic 3 NEW Students (Camara Family, Abdi Fatah, Maymoon, Amran, AbdurRahman...)
Our goal - Start and finish first 30 verses of Surah Baqarah before Ramadan (early June).  Surah Faatihah as well

Be sure to write next 3 verses at least.  Make sure each of you bring your quran notebook with you.

We will continue reading Quran as well as Arabic sentences practice coming weekend



Arabic 3 returning Students (Barre, Bedel, Awo, Ayan, Salihah, Firdawsa ...)
Our goal - finish and review 50 verses of Surah Baqarah before Ramadan (early June)

Let us make sure we have written our next set of verses so we can finish them in the class.  Do as much as you can analyze.  Some arabic terminology will be introduced this weekend

A2HW5: Write Surah Kawthare - word by word and spell it

For this Class Date:  05/22/2016, Following homework is due on 06/05/2016

We learnt the rule of Hamza tul Wasl.  We used Surah Kawthar to practice this rule.  Students will visit the pages in the book to continue this practice

Please write Surah Kawthar neatly, one word at a time - using the same style as you have been doing for past few weeks (word and its spelling)

Also review your vocabulary page ...

we have started on short suraat now with Surah Kawthar and will move on to Surah Asr this weekend insha-Allah

Please write following words on the page we discussed in the class.  It has a big list of islamic terms.  I will not ask you to rip the page.  rather, i will check in the class and fix the mistakes as needed
