Shaddah is another tashkeel and to use it, 3 conditions must be met

1. two of the same non-vowel letters come next to each other
2. first one of them has a sukoon
3. second one of them has a vowel (long vowel or short vowel)

No writing homework this week.  Focus on both suraat on your own and read them slowly word by word but in a way as if you are trying to slowly read full verse.

Practice reading 15 minutes at a time, twice a day.  You can also listen to the qaari of your choice to help you with reading.  quran.com, tarteel.com, http://quranexplorer.com, houseofquran.com are all different sites to explore and help you read insha-Allah
