Exam and Important dates to remember


Assalam-u-Alaikum Dear students ..  


Insha-Allah please keep following dates in mind
  • This Sunday  May 26th is last Ramadan class
  • We return on Sunday June 16th at usual schedule (9 am) for Summer classes
  • Exams and Quizzes are on Sunday June 30th
  • Summer classes stop Mid July
  • and we return for next year in September inshaa-Allah!

Islam Day on Saturday April 20th with Sheikh Mamdouh


Jazaakum Allahu Khairan for 20 minutes of discussion about "Love for Allah" in our preparation for Ramadan.

Following information is being shared again as I requested each of you to consider registering for these 2 important events.

Inshaa-Allah your experience in Ramadan can be different with these intended events for sake of Allah.  These are very important classes and are hard to come by

Program 1: "Islam Day" - Saturday April 20th 12 pm to 6 pm @ al-Amaan Center in Hopkins/Eden Prairie
  • Cost is none | Register here | Topic list for each track can be found here
  • Sheikh Mamdouh from Houston and Sh Jamal will be leading the discussion and workshop
  • You may attend 1 or all 3 tracks (Essentials of Deen, Youth & Young Adults, Family & Community)
  • Unique program continuing 3rd Saturday of every month @ 2 PM in a shorter format until next bigger "Islaam Day" event
  • Builiding Blocks is sponsoring the event
  • some more details will be shared soon with specifics about the workshops

Program 2: "Deception: Study of Shaytan" - Saturday April 27 & 28th 10 am to 7 pm @ Wiley Hall in University of Minnesota
  • Cost is $69 if we register as a group otherwise $85 or $95 @ https://www.almaghrib.org/minnesota
  • Please do not miss the class due to lack of funds.  Please write to me directly at (612) 860-5311 or email me about how much funds you are short.  We will figure out a way, no worries at all and no matter how much amount it is.  So far $900 have been raised to help those in need
  • Sheikh Saad Tasleem will be teaching the class and it is an excellent class to learn about our collective enemy, the Eternal Loser, Satan.
  • Lunch break is 1 pm - 3 pm.  We can enjoy it together or just go out to have lunch of our choice
  • Parents have the mommy and daddy sitting rooms.  They can take the class while kids play around them
  • A FREE friday night program about this class will take place on Friday April 26th.  It is free of charge

HW7-2019; Verbs with Adjectives and Colors

For this Class Date:  03/3/2019, Following homework is due on 03/10/2019 

Our goal - Start and finish Full Surah Baqarah before Ramadan (May 2019).  Surah Faatihah as well, Surah Mulk and possibly Surah Kahf

Our goal - finish and review Juz 1 as much as possible

Darwrah 1 - Means this is word to word writing in the notebook and going through the categories and translation for the new aayah.
Dawrah 2 - Means going through the Arabic phrases for both Arabic 5 and 6.
Dawrah 4 - Means can only look at Arabic text from Quran for Arabic 5 and for Arabic 6 (Dawrah 5) - cannot look at Arabic text.

Dawrah 4/5: Did ayaat in seventies without looking in order (Dawrah 5) for Arabic 5 and 6.

Please read Unit 7 (first 4 pages) from "Easy Arabic Grammar" book and think about following sentences

  4. He entered the house with my white heavy book.
  5. Where is this big heavy red and black bag in this house?

Our goal - finish and review Juz 1 as much as possible

Dawrah 2 - Means going through the Arabic phrases for both Arabic 5 and 6.

Teacher Sr. Khadijah:
  • Reading rules practice : Went through ayaat 9 & 10. Took turns telling what the reading rules were through those ayaat.

Grammar

  • Week off for Sr Trica.  No Grammar review with Br Mashood
  • Please read Unit 7 (first 4 pages) from "Easy Arabic Grammar" book

We didn't work on following past week. Classes had to be cancelled

Darwrah 1 - Means this is word to word writing in the notebook and going through the categories and translation for the new aayah.
Dawrah 2 - Means going through the Arabic phrases for both Arabic 5 and 6.
Dawrah 4 - Means can only look at Arabic text from Quran for Arabic 5 and for Arabic 6 (Dawrah 5) - cannot look at Arabic text.

Teacher Sr. Khadijah:
  • Reading rules practice : Went through ayas 7 and 8. Took turns telling what the reading rules were through those ayaat.

Grammar

  • Reviewed cognate sheet and how to get the command form

HW2-2019: All dawraat and review!

For this Class Date:  01/20/2019, Following homework is due on 01/27/2019

Our goal - finish and review Juz 1 as much as possible

Darwrah 1 - Means this is word to word writing in the notebook and going through the categories and translation for the new aayah.
Dawrah 2 - Means going through the Arabic phrases for both Arabic 5 and 6.
Dawrah 4 - Means can only look at Arabic text from Quran for Arabic 5 and for Arabic 6 (Dawrah 5) - cannot look at Arabic text.


Quran - Teacher: Sister Sadaf
  • Dawrah 3 (completed): Old review finished - Ayaat 136-141 [Next step - New Big Picture below)
  • Dawrah 1: NEW Ayaat done for (writing in notebook Dawrah 1) aayah 218.
    • Finished word by word analysis and Categories were done last week. This week we did the eloquent.
  • Dawrah 4/5: Did ayaat 40-50 without looking in order (Dawrah 5) for Arabic 5 and 6.

Grammar - Teacher Br. Mashood:

  • Brother Mashood came and explained bigger plan that we have for the next 4 months before Ramadan. In preparation for Ramadan students will be focusing on reviewing JUZ 1 and JUZ 2.
  • The points that were discussed are as follows: 

    1. Grammar will be discussed from the black book that will be coming soon
    2. Teaching the other Arabic classes - this will help both our teaching skills and help better our knowledge and apply what we have learned over the years.
    3. Translation - to translate from Juz1 and 2 in preparing for Ramadan

Teacher Sr. Khadija:

  • Dawrah 2: Went through ayas 1-10. Took turns telling what we learn through those ayaat.


NEW   --- Quran Study practice with Surah Al-Baqarah @11:30 and then Al-Mulk @12 PM (Teacher Brother Mashood)



  • Reviewed ayaat 1-20 from surah Baqarah. Brother took turns asking people to translate ayas not using notes to test the knowledge.
  • Reviewed aayah 8 from surah Al-Mulk.


  • Homework- for next week on Sunday January 27th

    Quran -
    • Prepare Verses 50-70 for review by seeing (A5) no looking (A6). Also prepare verses 21-30 for review with all classes.
    • Prepare NEW Verse 219 for Darwrah 1 - students are expected to write the verse in the Quran notebook and have it ready to go for class. 
    • Finish the eloquent for aayah 218.


    Grammar -
    • *Review Sarf chart and practice the different forms.

    HW1-2019: Dawrah 4/5 completed for Juz 1

    Class work Summary - Sunday Arabic Class January 13th
    Students attended: Arabic 5 Students: (Br. Rumed) and Arabic 6 students: (Sr Moxobo)
    Class time from 10AM-12:30 PM

    Darwrah 1 - Means this is word to word writing in the notebook and going through the categories and translation for the new aayah.

    Dawrah 4 - Means can only look at Arabic text from Quran for Arabic 5 and for Arabic 6 (Dawrah 5) - cannot look at Arabic text.

    Dawrah 2 - Means going through the Arabic phrases for both Arabic 5 and 6.

    Quran - Teacher: Sister Sadaf (no work done this week 1-13-19]

    COMPLETED [Last week January 6th]  -

    • Dawrah 3: Old review finished - Ayaat 136-141
    • Dawrah 1: NEW Ayaat done for (writing in notebook Dawrah 1) aayah 217.
      • Finished word by word analysis and Categories were done last week. This week we did the eloquent.
    • Dawrah 5: Did ayaat 20-40 without looking in order (Dawrah 5) for Arabic 5 and 6.

    Grammar - Teacher: Sister Tricia

    • Reviewed briefly hollow verbs and how to conjugate them
    • Went over worksheet for word  ئصلُ /ؤصل . We worked on filling out the 1st person, 2nd person, and 3rd person forms for both feminine and masculine.


    Feedback on class:

    We were not doing so good on the hollow verbs so we had to switch to the usual chart for sarf.

    NEW   --- Quran study practice with Surah Al-Mulk @ 12 PM (Teacher Brother Mashood)

    • Reviewed ayas 5,6,7 & 8. Discussed rules that can be found in these ayas.


    Homework- for next week on Sunday January 20th

    Quran -
