Following long vowels letter rules should be clear now

  3. long vowel letter in the middle/end of a word with a short vowel on it is always a letter.
  4. how does Quranic text treat the long vowels and use the short vowels on letter before.
  5. How to manage long vowel letters in the middle/end of a word if they have sukoon on it.
  • few situations left to discuss
    • when two long vowels come next to each other
    • are long vowel letters also available in tashkeel (symbol) form

Wow leen and Ya leen Rule
  1. This rule is only wow and ya.
  2. It is applied if wow or ya have a sukoon on it and letter before them have a fathah on it
  3. In this case, it creates a "swing" sound such as cycle, layla.  page 28 has examples and we tried them in the class with teachers

Please write left column on page 28, each word on a line.  Only right that one column.
You can ignore the right column for now.  write each word on a line, even if you have to fill 2 pages!
