Work we did in the class
- We reviewed long vowels and their 4 roles, wow leen and yaa leen, look at the pictures of the board at the bottom of the post. it was ensured that students find the basic info about short vowels (harakaat) on page 8 to 14 in gren book while long vowels (harakaat) are covered on page 14-21
- Word tashkeel and tashkeelaat was also introduced. Some students had not heard of it
- From suratu Annas we practiced how to find the reading rules from each word.
Homework
- Green Book:
1. From page 31: rewrite the last 6 Arabic sentences on a lined piece of paper neatly.
2. From page 72: Use this sample to rewrite each word of Suratu Alfalaq and next to it write if there is any reading rule from what you learned in class (each word should be on one line with its reading rules) as the example we have done in class. Also, Pronounce the words loudly while you write it.
3. You know at least 4 reading rules now out of 10 so all 4 should be identified if you run across them in a word :)
- Reading Rules: Write answers to following question
- Explain the rule of wow leen and yaa leen?
- Vocabulary page: Memorize all words from the "pronouns section" with their English meaning. You will be tested in the class
- White Book: Next week, we will start reading words from this handout as well, as next part of the class syllabus inshaaAllah. I am sorry we could not start this handout last Sunday although I was intending to. inshaaAllah your teacher Kadra will be back next Sunday and we can start on this handout too. I showed it to you I think
