A3HW6: 2 new reading rules, new style of practice (grammar, reading rules and vocab in one place)

Subject 1: Quran reading with Stoppers (and Reading Rules) [Sr Roza/br Mashhood]

We worked on reading the verses 11-20 of surah Baqarah (assigned as homework) using the stoppers.  Students did good work, we applied some reading rules too but wish could do more.  next time inshaaAllah

 

Homework is again to prepare verses 1 - 20 this week complete with all the new reading rules you have learnt

Subject 2: Vocabulary page / Arabic reading using Madinah book [br Mashhood]

Students responded all homework sentences listed below.  Good work!

3. I am on this
4. How are you
5. I am from those
6. So where are you?
7. What are you in?
8. This is where I am from? 

Homework is to remember what we did in the class (with pronouns) and write following sentences in Arabic

1. Where is that in the book
2. How is this in the Masjid
3. I am on this for the rabb
4. Where are you in the Masjid
5. Are you from this house in the city?

Subject 3: Reading Rules fast track practice [br Mashhood]

Reading Rules sheet - We reviewed past few ayaat, review some of the past few rules and learnt following new rules

• What is wow leen - ya len (using page 28 in green book)
• What is the rule of hamzatul Wasl? 

 

Homework is to continue working on verses above, using all of the rules you know.  Nothing in writing but just practice yourself using this sample and mentioning all reading rules known to you by now from the list of 10 distributed beginning of the class

 

Subject 4: Quran Lessons [Sr Rand]

first handout was given in the class couple of weeks ago (since book is not ready yet). We reviewed this sheet in the class for 10 minutes

 

Homework is nothing for this class

 

 

Subject 5: Grammar and Quran Translation [Adam/Mashood]

first handout (Unit 1) was given in the class so we did a quick practice on it using Adam's help and we started on 2nd grammar concept (Unit 2 - pronouns).  

We briefly discussed the complexity of this grammar concept since this is the hardest grammar lesson!
